ONYROS · THE PROCESS

How an artwork
comes to life.

Every artwork begins long before the canvas. It may come from a photograph, a face, a memory or an image that keeps returning. The rest is a journey made of research, colour, texture and time.

Before the final form, there is an image that keeps asking for attention.

01 · THE INTUITION

Everything begins with something that returns.

Every artwork begins with an image I cannot let go of.

Sometimes it is a photograph. Other times a face, a memory or a combination of colours encountered by chance. I do not try to reproduce what I see: I look for what that image can become.

Before finding a form, the vision is observed, broken down and reconstructed. Each choice removes something, adds something else and slowly brings the artwork closer to its own identity.

02 · THE CONSTRUCTION

From digital to canvas.

Digital tools allow me to search without being afraid of making mistakes.

At this stage I experiment with composition, balance, light and colour. I move, overlap, simplify and start again until the image has a tension capable of enduring.

But the work does not end on the screen. That construction is only a threshold. When it meets the canvas, everything changes: colour becomes matter, gestures leave traces and every decision acquires a tangible weight.

Digital tools do not replace the gesture: they prepare the place where the gesture can happen.

03 · THE MATERIAL

Colour, surface, time.

When the image enters the physical space, it stops being just a vision. It becomes surface, resistance, depth and presence.

02 · SURFACE

Canvas and Fine Art paper

Each surface is chosen according to the artwork, its material qualities and the way it will endure over time.

03 · TIME

No shortcuts

Each stage requires its own rhythm. An artwork is finished only when it no longer asks to be changed.

04 · THE GESTURE

Every intervention is unrepeatable.

The handmade process is not about correcting. It is about transforming.

Layers of colour, glazes, marks and small imperfections change the original image. The canvas takes on a direction that no digital project can ever fully predict.

This is why every original remains unique. Even when a vision continues as a limited Fine Art edition, each piece is personally checked, numbered, signed and prepared.

05 · THE JOURNEY

Every step adds something.

There is no identical path for every artwork. There are, however, moments that return and, together, transform an intuition into a tangible presence.

01

Idea

An image returns, insists and asks for a form.

02

Research

The vision is observed, broken down and reconstructed.

03

Digital

Composition, light and colour find an initial balance.

04

Canvas

The image meets a surface and becomes matter.

05

Gesture

The hand introduces marks, choices and unrepeatable imperfections.

06

Artwork

The vision is ready to meet a new gaze.

MATERIALS CHOSEN TO LAST

Care continues after the final gesture.

Every technical choice has one purpose: to protect the identity of the artwork and allow it to endure over time without losing its voice.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

Every artwork tells its own story. Now yours can begin.

What begins as an image reaches the canvas only to begin again in the eyes of the person who encounters it.
