It isn't what I see. It's what slips away the moment I try to hold on to it...

“ELSEWHERE"
Some images stay with me for only a moment. They arrive without warning, mingle with what I know, then become something else. Colours, faces, flowers, memories: everything feels close, yet nothing ever stays quite still.
Elsewhere comes from that feeling. From wanting to hold on to something that is already changing as I look at it. Perhaps that is why I keep painting: to give a place, even for a moment, to something that has no place of its own.”
THE ARTWORK
Material, colour, presence.
Every mark is created directly on the canvas. Colour does not simply reproduce an image: it builds a presence, made of layers, texture and small details visible only when you move closer to the painting.
CLOSER LOOKS
The artwork in detail
Come closer. The texture reveals what cannot be seen from a distance.
