Charlie
Don't ask me why I love you. Cats don't waste time explaining love.

“CHARLIE"
Some kinds of love need no explanation. Charlie found his way into my colours just like that, with the effortless certainty cats seem to understand so well: a glance, a presence, and suddenly they are part of your life.
I painted him as I felt him, rather than simply as I saw him. Curious, funny, a little mysterious, surrounded by a world that seems entirely his own. Because with a cat, love is like that: you don't explain it or justify it. It's simply there.”
THE ARTWORK
Material, colour, presence.
Every mark is created directly on the canvas. Colour does not simply reproduce an image: it builds a presence, made of layers, texture and small details visible only when you move closer to the painting.
