“BEFORE ME"
Sometimes I feel something inside me that I can't explain. An emotion, a memory I don't remember, a voice that seems to come from somewhere far away. I don't know where it comes from, and perhaps I don't need to.
Before Me began with the thought of everything that flows through us and was already here before we arrived. The people we have loved, those we never knew, the stories that came before us, and something of them that continues to live within us. I like to think that we are neither the beginning nor the end. We are part of the same journey.”
THE ARTWORK
Material, colour, presence.
Every mark is created directly on the canvas. Colour does not simply reproduce an image: it builds a presence, made of layers, texture and small details visible only when you move closer to the painting.
